PALINdrome

Had a little fun at a site called PALINdrome. You can create your own Palin speech from snippets of her past speeches (as few as they are).

Sarah Palin: Dazed and Confused

John Cleese on Sarah Palin

To add to the humor I came across an article about Palin at the Times-Tribune.com, the article wasn't funny, but what happens if you mouse-over the ad on the right... Priceless.

2001: A Mashup Odyssey

Found this mashup of Back in Black & We Will Rock You running over a sequence from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Pretty good job.

Here's another mashup mixing Eminem and the Eurythmics:

Anime Music Videos

There are several really good anime music video producers out there. Here's an example of one of my favorites. The video is from the anime, "5 Centimeters Per Second".

Something Different

Gotta give a break to posting all the bleak videos and catch up on what's going on a little closer to home.

I went out to the gun range with Mike and a few guys from his job. To make things even more fun, they brought a box of computer junk to shoot at. The metal support frame of one of the computers we shot at was able to stop the .45 slugs fired from Mike's bosses revolver. The slugs we recovered were squished quite nicely. The manuals other computer paraphernalia didn't fare as well though. I wish I would have brought my camera along to record the carnage.

Earlier Sunday morning I got a call from Mike saying he wanted to go to Cabela's to pick up a few barrel snakes for cleaning his rifles. I agreed to drive since I hadn't been to the Owatonna Cabela's yet. Quite an interesting place. Lots of guns. *drool*

OMG, Martial Law?!

Rep. Brad Sherman says Congress threatened with Martial Law if bill is not passed. LOL

Ron Paul, "You're Going To Guarantee A Depression"

Fail Palin

PALIN: I’m thankful the Constitution would allow a bit more authority given to the vice president if that vice president so chose to exert it in working with the Senate and making sure that we are supportive of the president’s policies. . . .

IFILL: Governor, you mentioned a moment ago the constitution might give the vice president more power than it has in the past. Do you believe as Vice President Cheney does, that the Executive Branch does not hold complete sway over the office of the vice presidency, that it it is also a member of the Legislative Branch?

PALIN: Well, our founding fathers were very wise there in allowing through the Constitution much flexibility there in the office of the vice president. And we will do what is best for the American people in tapping into that position and ushering in an agenda that is supportive and cooperative with the president’s agenda in that position. Yeah, so I do agree with him that we have a lot of flexibility in there, and we’ll do what we have to do to administer very appropriately the plans that are needed for this nation. And it is my executive experience that is partly to be attributed to my pick as V.P. with McCain, not only as a governor, but earlier on as a mayor, as an oil and gas regulator, as a business owner. It is those years of experience on an executive level that will be put to good use in the White House also.
Just what we need. Another VP who want's to rewrite the role of the Vice President. Sure it's a historically awkward office, but trying to redefine the position without amending the constitution just isn't right.

The Pain of Palin

Here's another example why Palin is not ready of federal office. When asked a broad question, "What other Supreme Court decisions don't you agree with?" Palin becomes that school kid who has no clue and tries to fake it with an empty answer. Makes me wonder how tonight's VP debate will go.
